Description

Our cottages are semi-detached and each has ample parking for two cars. Cottages 1&2 are on an elevated site behind the owners' house and are reached by going around the back of our house. Both cottages have two bedrooms and can sleep four people. The room with the double bed has a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. It measures about 3m x 3m. The room with the single beds is of the same size; it has two beds, bedside cabinet and built-in wardrobe. All the beds have duvets on them. The cottages are fenced in but the garden is gravel & grass.

The cottages are fully electric and this is served by a card meter in cottage 1 and a £1 coin meter in cottage 2.

I can supply bed linen if required I make a charge of £10.00 per bed for this. I can also get in some groceries for guests if requested and this can be paid for on arrival, again there is a charge of £10.00. If you wish this, please let me have your order one week before your arrival. There are supermarkets in Kyle or Broadford if you wish to shop before arrival. I do suggest that enough food be brought to last until Monday, as there are no shops open in the area on Sunday though there are two grocery stores open in Portree. Arrival can be from 5pm and on the day of leaving the time is 10am. Any breakages must be notified on the evening prior to leaving and I reserve the right to request payment.

Payment terms.

I request a deposit of 50% with the balance due six weeks before commencement of week(s) booked. If for any reason your holiday stay with me has to be cancelled I shall do my best to find others guests and will refund any money less £25 for administration costs. If it is not possible for me to rebook the week the full rent is payable.

Overseas bookings are to be paid in sterling. Cancellations must be notified in writing/email 4 weeks in advance. Please point out if a cheque is issued in a different name to the person booking the cottage. This is to stop any confusion that can arise. If this is not pointed out I accept no responsibility for wrong dates booked.

My insurance for the building states that I can only permit four people to sleep in each cottage. If there is more than the permitted number sleeping in the one cottage I reserve the right to terminate the booking.

Directions to the cottages.

Once you have reached the Isle from the mainland you will be on the main road to Portree, stay on this road until you reach a junction turning left at SLIGACHAN HOTEL. Turn left, this takes you onto the A863, DUNVEGAN ROAD. Stay on this road until you come to another left turning junction; this left turn takes you onto the B8OO9. The sign points the way to Carbost. We are the SECOND house on the left over the bridge spanning the river DRYNOCH.
